Keep your location list in Google Sheets and sync it to your map. See the Google Sheets integration overview for examples.
You’ll need: a Storepoint store locator account and a Google Sheet. Scheduled syncing starts on Pro. For an Excel file, open it in Google Sheets and save it as a Google Sheet first.
1. Prepare your sheet
Put column headings in the first row and one location in each row below it. Each location needs a name and a full address. You can keep address parts in separate columns.
Use one tab for the list. Storepoint reads the first tab unless the link you paste points to another tab. You can prepare a location sheet or download our template to get started.
2. Share your sheet
In Google Sheets, select Share → General access → Anyone with the link → Viewer, then copy the link. Anyone with this link can read the sheet, so use a sheet containing the location details you want to share.
To keep general link access restricted, ask us for the sync account email and share the sheet with that account instead.
3. Match columns and import
- In Storepoint, open Imports & syncs → New source → Google Sheets.
- Name the source, paste the share link, choose a schedule, and select Continue.
- Match your columns to Storepoint’s fields. Start with Name and Address.
- Select Preview import, check the sample and changes, then choose Import locations.

4. Add your map to your website
Check that your locations appear at the right addresses. Then follow the website embed guide. Keep editing the list in Google Sheets. Each successful sync updates the same website map.

How often can Storepoint sync my Google Sheet?
Pro supports daily checks. Business supports daily, hourly, every 15 minutes, or every 5 minutes. Choose manual syncing to run checks yourself. Use Sync now on the source card for a fresh check. Edits appear after a successful sync.
How does Storepoint match rows to locations?
Storepoint matches rows by name and address. A successful sync adds new rows, updates matched locations, removes locations whose rows were deleted, and merges duplicate rows. Changing a name or address replaces the old location with a new one. Locations managed separately stay in place.
Where should I edit locations after connecting my sheet?
Edit them in Google Sheets so future syncs use your latest details. Changes made directly to a synced location in Storepoint may be replaced by the next source update. If you are moving an existing list into Sheets, export your locations first and plan which source will manage them.
How do I add product or service filters from my sheet?
Put comma-separated values such as Coffee, Tea, Parking in a column and match it to Tags. Then create filter groups in Storepoint. Product tags show which products a location carries; they do not track live shelf stock.
How do I add images, hours, or extra details?
For images, map a direct image-file link to Image URL. For each day’s hours, use 9:00am - 5:00pm or Closed. A split day can use 9:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Create custom fields in Storepoint before matching extra columns. Phone, email, website, description, and supported social fields can also be mapped.
Can I use my own map coordinates?
Yes. Match both latitude and longitude columns, and keep an address for the public listing. Otherwise, Storepoint uses the address to place the location on the map.
Where can I check the latest Google Sheets sync?
The source card shows the latest run and location count. Select Sync now to check for changes. Use the source settings to review sheet access, column matches, and the schedule. After renaming a mapped column, update its match. Each row needs a name and full address. Contact our team for help with a run.
