How to Add a Store Locator to Joomla

Step 1: Get Your Embed Code

  1. Log in to your Storepoint dashboard
  2. Click Embed in the left sidebar
  3. Copy your embed code snippet

Step 2: Add It to Your Joomla Site

  1. Log in to your Joomla admin panel
  2. Go to Content → Site Modules (or Extensions → Modules)
  3. Click New and select Custom (or "Custom HTML") as the module type
  4. Give your module a title like "Store Locator"
  5. In the Custom Output field, paste your Storepoint embed code
  6. Set the Position to where you want the locator (e.g., "main-content")
  7. Under Show Title, select "Hide" if you don't want the title visible
  8. Save the module
Important: Text Filter Settings

Make sure your Joomla text filters allow script tags. Go to Content → Articles → Options → Text Filters and ensure your user group (Super Users) is set to "No Filtering".

Step 3: Assign to a Page

  1. In the module settings, go to the Menu Assignment tab
  2. Select "Only on the pages selected"
  3. Choose your store locator page
  4. Save the module

Alternative: Embed in an Article

You can also embed directly in a Joomla article:

  1. Create a new article in Content → Articles → New
  2. In the editor, switch to Source Code or HTML view
  3. Paste your Storepoint embed code
  4. Save the article
Code Getting Stripped?

If your code gets stripped when saving, go to Plugins → TinyMCE and remove "script" and "iframe" from the "Prohibited Elements" list.
