How to Add a Store Locator to WordPress

Learn how to add a store locator to your WordPress website. Works with Gutenberg, Classic Editor, and all major page builders.

Need a store locator for your WordPress site? This guide covers the Gutenberg editor, Classic Editor, and popular page builders like Elementor and Divi. 🎯

What is Storepoint?

Storepoint is a store locator widget that makes it easy to add a powerful location finder to your WordPress website. Use it as a store locator, dealer locator, multi-location map, or searchable directory.

Here's what makes it great:

  • Easy to customize. Match your WordPress site's branding in minutes.
  • Powerful search. Visitors can search by address, zip code, or use automatic geolocation.
  • Filters and categories. Help visitors find exactly what they're looking for.
  • Simple location management. Add locations via the dashboard, import from a spreadsheet, or sync from Google Sheets.
  • Works beautifully on mobile. Fully responsive out of the box.

Pro Tip

Preview your locator in the dashboard first to make sure everything looks right before embedding.

Step 2: Add It to Your WordPress Site

In your WordPress admin, go to Pages and edit the page where you want your locator (or create a new page like "Find Us" or "Locations").

Using the Gutenberg Editor (Block Editor)

This is the default editor in WordPress 5.0 and later.

  1. In the page editor, click the + Add Block button
  2. Search for "Custom HTML" and select the Custom HTML block
  3. Paste your Storepoint embed code into the block
  4. Click Publish (or Update if editing an existing page)
Quick Shortcut

On a new line in the editor, type /html and press Enter to quickly add a Custom HTML block.

Using the Classic Editor

If you're using the Classic Editor plugin:

  1. In the page editor, click the Text tab (not Visual) in the top right
  2. Paste your Storepoint embed code
  3. Click Publish or Update
Important

Make sure you're in Text mode, not Visual mode. The Visual editor may strip out your code.

Step 3: Publish and Test

  1. Visit your page to see your locator in action
  2. Test searching for a location to confirm everything works

That's it! 🙌

Using Page Builders

If you use a page builder plugin, look for an HTML or Code element:

Elementor: Drag an HTML widget to your page and paste your embed code.

Divi: Add a Code module to your page and paste your embed code.

WPBakery: Add a Raw HTML element and paste your embed code.

Full Width Layout

For the best display, consider using a Full Width page template if your theme offers one. Look in Page Settings for template options like "Full Width" or "No Sidebar".
