FAQ

Common questions

Do I have to install a WordPress plugin to use Storepoint?

No, the plugin is optional. Install our Storepoint WordPress plugin for a native Gutenberg block, or paste the embed snippet into a Custom HTML block or any page builder. Most WooCommerce stores choose the embed since it adds nothing to the active-plugins list and runs no extra PHP.

Does this work with my WooCommerce theme and page builder?

Every WooCommerce theme works, and every page builder accepts the embed: Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Oxygen. The snippet is a single line of HTML, so wherever your builder accepts custom code, the locator goes. Switching themes later doesn't break anything since the locator isn't tied to your theme.

Can I show multiple WooCommerce store locations on an interactive map?

Yes, that's the most common use case. Drop the embed onto your Find a Retailer or Where to Buy page. Visitors search by city or postcode, filter by product line or store type, tap any pin for directions. Up to 200 pins on Starter, 2,000 on Pro, 10,000 on Business with marker clustering for clean rendering. Higher limits available, just ask.

Will Storepoint conflict with my existing WordPress or WooCommerce plugins?

No. The embed has no PHP, so there's nothing for other plugins to conflict with. Caching plugins (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, W3 Total Cache), security plugins (Wordfence, Sucuri), page builders, WooCommerce extensions, and admin overrides all coexist with it. The Storepoint WordPress plugin (the Gutenberg block option) is also a lightweight install with no known plugin conflicts in our support history.

How does Storepoint compare to traditional WooCommerce store locator plugins and apps?

Plugin-based locators add PHP overhead on every page load, demand updating with each WordPress release, and often break with theme updates. Storepoint's hosted approach removes those costs entirely. The store locator software ships with brand matching from our designers, easy location management, bulk imports, Google Sheets sync, Spotlight territory rules for exclusive dealer regions, search analytics, custom fields with buttons, and a real human support team. If you migrate off WooCommerce, the locator carries over to the new platform without losing any data.

Does it work for dealer locators, stockist pages, and where-to-buy product finders?

Yes, all three work the same way. Tag retailers by product line or category, add filters so shoppers narrow to relevant stockists, include Custom Field buttons per location ("Buy on Amazon", "Order Direct", "View Menu"). Spotlight rules let manufacturers assign exclusive dealers to specific territories: customers searching within a region see only the authorized dealers for that area. Custom Fields | Spotlight.

Will adding the locator slow my WooCommerce store down?

The locator script is non-blocking and loads after your WooCommerce content renders. Checkout, product pages, and category archives all paint at full speed since no PHP runs server-side and no extra queries hit your WooCommerce database. Particularly relevant for WooCommerce stores already heavy with extensions.

How fresh can my locations stay through Google Sheets sync?

Sync frequency depends on your plan. Daily on Pro, hourly or every 5 minutes on Business. Force Sync Now in the dashboard triggers an immediate refresh whenever you need it. The sync log records every change so you know exactly what was added, updated, removed, or auto-deduplicated.

Who handles support if something goes wrong?

Storepoint is built by a small team and we run our own support. Brand matching ships on every plan, done by our designers after you sign up. For technical questions, email [email protected] and you'll hear back from one of the people who built it, usually within a few hours. No tier-one outsourcing, no AI auto-replies.

Does this locator have the features I need for my WooCommerce site?

Yes. Beyond what's covered above, Storepoint includes filters with multiple filter groups (filter by product, service, certification, brand, or anything else you want to tag), Custom Fields for per-location buttons (Book Now, Buy Online, View Menu, social links), custom map markers and themes (different markers by location type, product, or service), keyword search, GPS geolocation, opening hours with live open and closed status, multilingual labels, search analytics, territory rules, Google Sheets and CSV sync, full custom CSS for designers, and developer APIs. On WooCommerce specifically, that includes WPML multilingual integration, page builder compatibility, and resilience through WordPress core and plugin updates. If you have a specific feature in mind for your use case, it's likely already built in. Explore all features . Don't see what you need? Email [email protected] and we'll help you find a path with what's built, or work with you to add what's missing.
